From commercial property finish-outs (for shopping centers, offices, retail and restaurants) to roofing installations and full service storm damage restoration, we are committed to excellence in both our workmanship and customer service.

Tice is bondable and carries both workman’s compensation and general liability insurance. Tice is also certified by the State of Texas as a HUB and woman-owned business, with licensed roofing specialists, a civil engineer and a licensed architect on staff. Additionally, the company is listed with the Central Contractor Registration (CCR) for government contracting and with the Small Business Administration (SBA) as a small emerging business and a woman-owned business.

Tice Enterprises holds an ICC (International Code Compliance) license. We also hold a license for both commercial and residential roofing work from the Roofing Contractors Association of Texas (RCAT) – license # [0317] 03-0238. The state of Texas does not have a licensing program or requirement, but RCAT offers a voluntary licensing program, with rigorous testing and continuing education requirements, that we are proud to participate in. Tice Enterprises is also an accredited BBB business (since 2003), with an A+ rating.

Tice Enterprises is an active member of several industry associations, including the International Council of Shopping Centers (ICSC), the International Code Council in roofing (ICC), the National Roofing Contractors Association (NRCA), the Midwest Roofing Contractors Association (MRCA), the Roofing Contractors Association of Texas (RCAT), and the North Texas Roofing Contractors Association (NTRCA), where our team member Joe Henderson has served for many years as a board member and NTRCA Board President.

Carolyn founded Tice Enterprises, Ltd in 2001, with a commitment to partner with each customer to turn their vision into a reality, mixing functionality with beauty. Involved in the construction industry almost her entire life and successfully starting, managing and growing Tice Enterprises during the past 17 years, she is a sought-after expert, known for her dedication to quality workmanship and customer service on every project. Under her leadership, Tice Enterprises has grown to serve the residential, commercial and industrial property markets. As president, she not only manages the company’s day-to-day operations, but she is also involved in the design and production phases of nearly every project. Carolyn obtained her Bachelor Degree in Economics and Finance from SMU and is an ICC trained and recognized contractor. 

With 30 years of construction industry experience, more than half of it specializing in roofing, Joe is an invaluable member of the Tice Enterprises team. His background includes residential building, wholesale roofing distribution and roofing installation services and management. He is trained and certified by most major manufacturers in the specification and installation of their roofing systems and has served for many years as a board member and president of the North Texas Roofing Contractors Association (NTRCA). Additionally, he is the recipient of one of NTRCA’s most prestigious annual awards, Associate of the Year. Joe especially enjoys working with and educating homeowners, helping them restore their homes and roofs to make them beautiful, sound and safe again. He studied at UTA and holds a license for both commercial and residential roofing work from the Roofing Contractors Association of Texas (RCAT) – license # [0317] 03-0238.

Tom brings decades of industry experience to the Tice team, where he serves as our civil engineering expert. Prior to joining Tice, he worked for industry leaders Accor in Dallas TX; Paschal-Ludwig Engineers in Ontario, CA; Lusk Co. in Irvine, CA and as an estimator for Robert E. McKee in Dallas, TX. Tom consults and advises Tice Enterprises on roofing structure and appropriate engineering applications. He also provides in on-site quality control checks, training and supervision. Tom obtained his civil engineering degree from Texas A&M.

Melika is an experienced and talented architect, designer and project manager with close to 20 years of experience. She oversees all of Tice’s remodeling and design work. Melika holds a Master’s degree in architecture, is a registered architect in Texas (#25211) and holds a LEED AP Building Design + Construction (LEED AP BD+C) certification. Her specialties include: high rise and multifamily residential, single family residential, offices, educational, restaurants and food services, retail and construction management. Prior to joining the Tice Enterprises team in 2010, she worked for Gromatzky Dupree & Associates and Sharestan Architects and Planners.

Sheryl has been with Tice Enterprises since 2002 and is responsible for overseeing field operations. She is also Tice’s representative related to inspection agencies, materials, suppliers, transporters, waste and other service entities. She serves as a liaison and communicates between management and field resources plus supervises projects through each phase to obtain measurable results.
